Fresh in our minds - recent events   Launch Party / Cyber Golf, St. James' St St. Andrews, Augusta, Valderrama? Heath Reid golfers got to choose at a special preview party for Nottingham's first indoor golf centre, with food, drink and close competition for the furthest drive and nearest-the-pin. It's a beautiful venue with bar, lounge and serious technology hidden somewhere beyond the white screens and turf green carpets.   Cirque Surreal Gala Night / Forest Fields 250 Heath Reid members and guests filled the big top for a brilliantly quirky pageant of skill, strength, daring and bizarre costumes; with acrobats, dancers, men in suits in a giant and terrifying hamster wheel; and a clown who secured a standing ovation simply by suggesting it.     Easter Drinks at Tonic / Angel Row Easter. That was our excuse for a drink. By day Tonic is a deli-café with big windows for watching Chapel Quarter life. By evening it's very different, with a sleek and usefully long bar waiting at the top of the stairs. We made full use of the space, helped by drinks on the house and live music.     Launch Party: Curry Lounge / Upper Parliament Street Over 100 Heath Reid People sat down to a full complimentary indian meal to celebrate the opening of Curry Lounge, the flagship venue at the newly refurbished co-op building. Feedback has been great all round. We're just sorry we couldnt accommodate everyone who wanted to attend.   Fine Art Preview / View from the Top Gallery   Original works by Picasso and Matisse, Warhol and Hockney, Emin and Hirst - selling for the price of fancy shoes. The Fine Art Partnership welcomed Heath Reid people to a private preview of a rather special art viewing and sale at the View from the Top gallery (top floor at Waterstones). Free wine and nibbles were enjoyed - though everyone was extra careful to avoid spillage.

The Great Heath Reid Christmas shopping Expedition   Heath Reid’s favourite shops on Bridlesmith Gate stayed open exclusively for members, who could be seen meandering from place to place clutching carrier bags and taking in refreshments here, goodie bags there and plenty of HR price concessions. No checkout queues, no sulking staff, no pushchair injuries.

Christmas Drinks / Opium   Heath Reid members and guests enjoyed an early Christmas drink or two in the old Shanghai setting of Opium restaurant bar on Warser Gate, safely before Christmas high-season turned partying into a chore and a bore. Free champagne on arrival and oriental delicacies aplenty kept spirits flying high.

The Heath Reid Ball

Full red-carpet treatment for around 200 guests, who had freedom of the private staterooms and a spectacularly relit ballroom and lobby. The headline act was Maceo of De La Soul, flown in specially from the USA.

G4 Private Concert

A festive event that brought together G4, their adoring public and the skills and advice of the House of Fraser cosmetics teams at the Pitcher & Piano.

Piccolino Launch Party

The new Italian Restaurant and bar welcomed Heath Reid members and guests to their launch. Delicious canapés accompanied glasses of Italian bubbly, which just kept coming…

Chino Latino Third Birthday

Heath Reid People helped celebrate Chino Latino’s third birthday. The evening included complimentary cocktails, exotic food, fire-eaters and scary silver-painted people.

Limey’s Opening

Heath Reid Christmas Shopping Evenings

For the last three years now, six or seven top Nottingham stores have opened specially for Heath Reid people, who are plied with fortifying wine and nibbles; free gifts and large savings.
